The New Laws.

The first printed copies of the new laws enacted by the last legislature were sent out to the clerks of some of the different counties of the state last Monday afternoon. The work of shipping the acts of 1899 will continue until all counties have been supplied with them. The laws (except those with emergency clauses) will not be in force until every clerk sends in his receipt to the secretary of state and the governor issues his proclamation, which will be about May Ist. The secretary of state has been doing some record breaking work in getting the laws out early this time.
