A Place of Many Mails.

We dpubt if there are many places the size of Rensselaer where the post office handles as much and so frequent mail matter. The two daily mails on the milk train will make a total of thirteen railway mails every 24 hours, coming in and the same number going out. x In addition to these, there are five star routes which have their starting point at Rensselaer. All of these go and come once every day except Sharon, which goes three times a week, and Collegeville which goes twice a day. These different star routes supply seven different post offices. There is also an unusually large amount of mail matter sent out from Rensselaer. The one daily, one semi-weekly and three weekly papers send a great deal; while St. Joseph’s College, and the Brother House connected, maintains a large printing office and prints at least three or four monthly magazinesand one weekly paper, and sends out mail by the wagon load, all of which passes through the Rensselaer office.
