The Circuit Court.

The April term of the Jasper circuit court opened Monday. A very large amount of probate and routine business has been disposed of, but not many cases of much public interest. It is expected that the court will adjourn today, Thursday until next week. The petit jury is called for Tuesday of next week. A divorce case was disposed of Wednesday. Mollie Makus, now of Kniman, was the plaintiff, and Pau] Makus, of Union Tp., the defendant. They were married in this county May 16th, 1897 and separated Jan. 3rd, 1899. She. charged cruel treatment of an aggravated sort, in matters specially marital and also failure to provide. She was given a divorce and the custody of the infant son, Louis, which was the fruit of their brief wedded career.
