Dewey Let Us Have the Fibre.

When Admiral Dewey destroyed the Spanish Navy in Manilla Harbor there were lying in the harbor six big ships laden with Manila fibre for the DEERING HARVESTER CO., of Chicago. By a special order from the Navy Department Dewey was permitted to release these ships. Their cargoes reached the Deering Twine Works in Chicago in due course, and that twine will be used to bind the shelves of this season’s harvest all over the world.
