A Big Time At Odd Fellow’s Hall.
There was a big time among the “Beckies” Friday night, at Odd Fellow’s Hall the occassion was the conferring of the Rebekah degree on 25 applicants. The work was done by the resident lodge’s excellent initiatory team. The candidates were about equally divided between the two sexes. There were some seven or eight more candidates expected, 1 but they were kept away by the mud, cold weather and other causes. A fine supper was partaken of after the initiaory ceremonies were concluded. There were about 25 visitors present from other lodges, Shelby sending by far the largest portion of them. Remington was represented by four visitors. Among the visitors was Anna W. La Follette, of Indianapolis, state president of Rebekah Assembly, of Indiana and who delivered an interesting address. Local Odd Fellows and Rebekahs were present in large numbers.
