A Splendid Entertainment
Given By the Wabash Colleye Glee Club at Harters’ Opera Hoase. Pera Sentinel: The attendance at Harters’ opera house last night on the occasion of the first appearance of the Wabash College Glee club in this city was only fairly good and in view of the debt of gratitude which the people of this city owe tbe Wabash Athletic association under whose auspices the entertainment was given, the crowd was entirely too small.
As to the entertainmet it was first class in every respect. Every number was greeted with applause and each in turn was meritorious. The vocal solo by Mr. J. 8. Bartholomew, manager of the clubs, is deserving of special mention. After the entertainment closed the members of the clubs were conducted by tbe young people of the city to the rooms of the Wabash Athlectic association where the remainder of the evening was spent in dancing to the excellent music furnished by the Wabash Mandolin club. —[At Ellis’ Opera House, Thursday, April 6th. Prices 25, 35, 50 cents.]
