KNIMAN. —— A groat many of the people of tins place are making a in their location. Fred Meiser who was among the oldest settlers of this part of the country has moved to Fulton tyWatt Prevo and wife of Gillam Tp„ were the guests of William Hanley’s one day last week. Miss Mattie Shaw, of Hegewiscb, 111., is visiting John McGlinn’s and other relatives at this place. Miss Dora Kennedy has had an other attack of the lagrippe but is now improving. The Epworth League will give a poverty social at the home of Elmer Poyer on Saturday evening, March 25, the proceeds to be ueed for the benefit of the league. Each one present will be fined as follows for •wearing the following. Rings 2 cents each; glasses 5 cents per pair: watch and chain 7 cents; stick pins .2 cents: wool dresses 5 cents: calico dresses without patch 2 cents; gold cuff or collar buttons 2 cents each; shoes that are mates 1 cent each; gentlemen wearing unpatched clothes 5 cents; curled hair 10 cents; powdered faces 2 cents; ear rings 2 cents each; belts 2 cents. Refreshments will be served consisting of , popcorn, toothpicks and water. Everybody is cordially invited to attend.
