The Jasper Public Library.

The Board of Directors met last Saturday evening, all present. A portion of the by-laws were adopt ed. The hours of opening to be, on Saturday from 2 to 5 p. m., on Sunday from 3 to 5 p. m., and on other days from 6:30 p. m. until •curfew. The committee to purchase books leporteda list of periodicals, which was adopted, and on next Saturday evening will report the complete book list. It was agreed that the standing committees should consist of an equal number of directors and stockholders. The following were agreed upon: BY-LAWS AND CONSTITUTION. Directors, Austin, Ross and Warren; stockholders, C. E. Mills, Frank Foltz and Mrs. E. L. Hollingsworth. TO SOLICIT DONATIONS. Directors, Strong, Thompson and Murray; stockholders, R. S. Dwiggins, C. W. Hanley and Maude Spitler. TRUSTEES FOR COUNTY PROPERTY. Directors, Murray, Coover and Porter; stockholders, J. C. Gwin, Nate J. Reed and L. H. Hamilton. TO PURCHASE BOOKS. Directors, Ross, Strong and Nowels; stockholders, W. H. Sanders, J. E. Wilson and S. C. Johnson. FINANCE COMMITTEE. Directors, Nowels, Strong and Austin; stockholders, M. L. Spitler, C. W. Coen and George E. Murray. ARRANGEMENT OF BOOKS AND FURNITURE. Directors, Warren, Coover and Austin; stockholders, B. F. Fendig, Mary E. Moody and George E. Marshall. The soliciting committee was authorized to sell book tickets at $2.50, and collect for same; giving a receipt in the following form: “Received of $2.50 for which the bearer is entitled, on presentation to the librarian, to one book ticket in the Jasper Public Library. Member of soliciting committee.” The stockholders appointed on the above committees are invited to attend the next meeting of the directors, to be held in the office of the County Recorder next Saturday evening at 7:30 p. m..
