No Fishing in May and June.

In our publication of the new fish law, given at length in a former issue, although we quoted the law properly in the body of the article in the headlines there was a serious error. The closed season, in which fishing of all kinds is forbidden is during the months of May and June.: In the headlines referred to the forbidden months were incorrectly stated as April and May. Fishing is permitted in April, but until we can obtain a complete copy of the law, we are unable to state just to what extent, as none of the abstracts we have seen state the provisions for April. Hook and line fishing is certainly permitted during that month, anj also, we believe, with a trot line of not more than 50 hooks, but whether the trot line permission includes April or not, we can not say postively. The use of seines is restricted to July, August and September.
