An Early Spring Divorce.

With the earliest chirp of the robins, but before they have made any definite arrangements to nest again, comes the first divorce of the springtime. Mrs. Mollie Makus is the plaintiff and Paul Makus, is the defendant. They both live well within the limits of the northern divorce belt of the county, Paul in Union Tp., and his wife who wants out, at Kniman with her parents. They were married in this county May 16th, 1897, and lived together until the 3rd of January, 1899, They have one child, a son, born Mar 25th, 1898, and of which she asks the care and custody. She charges cruel and inhuman treatment, the details of which are not adapted to publication, farther than that he neglected to provide medical attendance when her child was born, and that her health was broken down on account of that neglect. Her maiden name was Hielscher, and she asks that it be restored to her.
