Has The Emergency Clause.

The new street improvement, or anti-improvement law, mentioned in a previous issue, has an emergency clause, and is now in full effect. The law may have an immediate important effect in Rens-; sdaor, as some quite extensive street improvements are being talked of, and it is possible that the property owners will avail themselves of its provisions to prevent or at least defer the work. If the law should be used to hold back street improvements until a good stone crushing plant could be established at Rensselaer, it might prove in 'the end a great blessing to our city ;
