Some More Republicanism.
After nearly two yearaof McKinley ism, that awful spector that terrified the country, the situation may be summed up as follows: The iron furnaces are doing an unampled business; wheat, cotton and corn are rising in price; the increase in railroad earnings is enormous; the mills and factories are running overtime; commercial failures are fewer than for any time during the past 8 years; retail trade in all lines is good; there is over $100,000,000 more money in circulation than a year ago; banks have gained enormously in deposits; interest is falling; gold imports are increasing; merchandise exports are doubling. Hurrah for McKinleyism!—Ex.
