The County Commissioners.

; The time set for viewing the Murphy ditch, in Union Tp., was extended. It can’t be done at present, because the whole region is underwater. A road near Mt Ayr, between Jasper and Newton counties ia asked to be ohanged, and a commissioner for Jasper county is appointed. They are to do the work on March 27. On Tuesday August Rosenbaum, of Rensselaer, was granted a saloon license. There was no opposition. Emil Ponton, of Kniraan, had given notice of intention to apply for a license for a saloou at Kniman, in Walker township. - But a Nicholson law remonstrance with an abounding sufficiency of legal signatures was filed, and the application was dismissed.
