BLACKFORD. Roads quite bad. Protracted meeting closed at the Brushwood church Sunday evening with quite a good many accessions. The best sleighing of the winter. Dan Snider’s family moved in S. R. Nichols’ house, east of Blackford. Katie daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elias Arnold got scalded quite bad on the arm by the upsetting of some hot water. Quite cold weather for March, 4 above zero Tuosday morning. Stephenson Bros., of Parr, are putting down a well* for Chas. Pullins in Barkley. Jennings, the II months old child of Mr. and Mrs. Ropp, died Saturday morning with tonsilitis. Services were held at the house by Rev. Edward Miller Sunday at 10 a. m. Interment in Weston Cemetery at Rensselaer. The schools of Barkley township will close this week. Quite a trade existed at Blackford Tuesday between Dallas Nichols and Owen Hurley. It was a pair of shoes.
