Rensselaer people invested quite largely in horses at the recent Rensselaer Stock Farm sale, at Lafayette. Walter White bought a fine driving gelding of the Wilkes breed. He is a pacer and very fast having a record of 2:30 already. Mr. White paid $255 for him. Alt Pagett also bought a fast gelding. Hi is 2 years old and a half brother of the celebrated Goguac. The price paid was $250.50. Abe Hardy bought five head. Three are fine brood mares and two are promising young colts. The prices ranged from $37.50 to $95.
