Two Funerals in Gillam.

Two funerals have been held at Independence church, Gillam Tp., this week, by Rev. Umpleby, pastor of Medaryville M. E. church. On Sunday was held the funeral ot Mrs. Harriet McCandless, who died Feb. 16th, aged ever 88 years. On Tuesday occurred the funeral of John R. Odom. He died Monday Feb. 20th at the home of his brother Charles Odom, jjn Gillam township. His age was 36, 3 months, 14 days. He was twice married and leaves a son by the first marriage and two daughters by the second. His first wife, Minerva Blaze died in 1882. His second wife, whose maiden name was Nancy Critchie, died in 1888. Some years ago Mr. Odom lived with the Burns brothers, in Barkley, for several years.
