John Brown Plead Guilty Again.
Reference was made some time ago to the arrest of John Brown, at Attica, for horse stealing. He is the once prominent and respected resident, and ex-township trustee of Pulaski county, who came through here about two years ago, with a stolen outfit, and was tracked down by Sheriff Reed, and who when arrested over the Illinois line, near Kentland, shot himself, but recovered and served a term in the pen on plea of guilty. He has now made a similar plea, at Covington, and Judge Rabb has given him an indeterminate sentence of from one to fourteen years in the northern prison. Brown, by all accounts, was making a good enough living without stealing, but seemsto have a mania tor stealing horses.
