Jack The Grabber Vs Jack The Peeper.

Reports that Jack The Grabber, had also become a Jack the Peeper were current a day or two ago. It seems that a night or two ago, somebody went to Wm. Brinley’s house, across the river, and began looking in at the windows. A company of young men, including some of the Brinley boys were at Mr. Wood worth’s near by, and they were sent for. Peeper was still lingering around and the boys took after him. He ran down River street, then leaped Mrs. Thompson’s iron fence, ran through her front and rear yard, and finally out to the fields where foot ball was played two years ago. Here he distanced all pursuers and they gave up the chase. Next morning Charley Brinley, the great foot ball player and champion runngr, admitted that he was that particular Jack the Peeper, and that he was just wanting to have a little fun with the boys,— and he had it. The other boys now claim that they knew it was Charley all the time—but we guess they didn’t.
