The Firemen Quitting.

The C. & E. I. is experiencing difficulty in holding firemen. On Friday eight stokers quit summarily, and men were taken out of the round house to fill the vacancies. The company is trying to have its engines pull as long trains now as it was customary to hitch to them in warm weather, and of course the engines can hardly get over the road.—Danville Commercial.
