Fighting In The Philippines.

There was a big battle Saturday and Sunday, around Manila, between the Filopinos and the Americans, the former having begun the attack. The Americans lost about 20 killechand 200 wounded. The Fillopinos seem to have been crushinglj* defeated, and to have suffered great lose. It is a lamentable thing that this out. break should have occurred, and it probably would hot had it not been for the action of those senators who have delayed the confirmation of the peace treaty.
