Rounding Up The Train Jumpers.

A lot of idle kids around the depot, who wore bound not to desist from the dangerous practice of jumping on the mpyfog cars, jintil some of them lost their lives or broke into jail, met foe latter fate, last Thuraday afterr noon. Col. Bill Childers, the night police, awoke exfoa early: from his daily slumberS to learn what his friepd the ground hog, was projecting and prognosticating, and getting his eye on a number of these boys, engaged in their usual pastime, he succeeded in rounding up three of them and marched them down to the county jail, They were Abe Stone, Fred Liston and Lewis Portwood. There was a much larger gang of the boys, but the rest got away. Bill was laying for them, by Coen & Brady’s elevator, and those who escaped jumped off on the other side. This afternoon the boys plead guilty before Squire Burnham, and he find them $1 and costs. They are likely to lay out their finesand costs in jail.
