BLACKFORD. A sled load of young folks to the number of eleven of the Burns school, attended' church at Rose Bud Friday night. Frank Schroer made a trip to Parr Sunday. Thomas Price has been quite sick but is much improved at this writing. Mrs. Sarah Platt of Rensselaer, and Charles Hurley and family of DeMotte attended the Hurley child’s funeral at Blackford Sunday. The 16 months old child of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Hurley died of nn o f evAT - Fnneral services were-held at the house Sunday at Ip. in., by Rev. Sherill. Interment in Prayer cemetery. The Sunday school at the Burn’s school house is progressing well. A paper on “Intemperance” Was read by Ruth Schroer Sunday. Mr. Charles, Saidle is to compose and read a paper on some subject next Sunday Jan. 15, S. S. at 10 a. m. Chester Caster is quite sick. Samuel Williams had quite an accident Saturday afternoon on go. ing through the ice and water on the Burk grade with a load of wood. He broke his’double trees and obstructed the .4ay for about 2 hours. Mr. Charles Fox the mailcarrier had to transfer the mail. Rev. Sherill preached at Brushwood Sunday afternoon.
