Death of An Early Settler.

Word has just been received here of the death, at Burlington, Kansas, last Monday of one who, for many years, was one of the best known business and professional men in Jasper county. It was that of Dr. W. J. Laßue. He lived in Rensselaer from 1842 to 1870, practiced medicine here conderable and was in business a long time as a member of the firm of J. W. and W. J. Laßue. He was an uncle of A. 8. and S. M. Laßue, composing the present business firm of Laßue Brothers. His age was between 80 and 85 years. He leaves two sons and a daughter. The sons live at Burlington and the daughter in Mexico.
