Wednesday afternoon the affidavit for libel against F. E. Bab-| cock, editor of the Democrat was dismissed. Thursday morning, Judge Kent, of Frankfort gave his ruling in the demurrer in the county’s case to recover the costs advanced in the Wakarusa ditch. He ruled that the commissioners had th»3 right to dismiss the ditch at the time they did, which is a strong! point in favor of the county.
