Our Soldier Boys Honored.
One of the pleasant social events of the season was the reception given by the ladies of the Robert H. Milroy Circle Number three last Saturday evening in honor of our soldier boys. Over one hundred guests were present. An excellent program was rendered consisting of instrumental and vocal music, recitations and addresses. Among the latter was an address by Wm. Holderness, one of the soldier boys, relating his experience and citing many items of interest concerning the war, the Cubans and their country. Such a supper as only can be prepared by good cooks, for which the ladies Reserve to be highly complimented, was served and to which every one seemed to do ample justiee. A good sociable time was spent and it was at a late hour when the crowd disbanded. The returned Spanish war soldiers present, and in whose honor the reception was given were Wm. Holderness, J. H. Marshall, Theodore George and Ernest Middleton.
