A Former Jasperite Wants a Divorce.
Michigan City News. Lydia E. Stone, by her attorney, W. W. Pepple, filed suit in superior court Thursday for a divorce from her husband Theo. W. Stone. The couple was married in 1893 and lived together until Nov. 1, 1897. Mrs. Stone says her husband frequently struck her and daring their residence in Wheatfield, Ind, in 1896, he beat her with a whip, a week after the birth of their child, now deceased. She says further that he threw her against a table and caused permanent injury to her hip. He also called her vile names and was very jealous.
