Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Pumphrey of Rensselaer, spent the day at C. A. Hopkins’ last Wednesday. Dema Hopkins is spending Xmas vacation with her parents. Nellie McGuire of Remington and Ce j own <>* R ..« V L .p. .•. few days with Mrs. Loughridge this week. Rev. Oescbgei of the University of Cbieago, spent a few days with Dema Hopkins. He filled the pulpit at Vaughn last Wednesday evening. Maggie Lang spent the holidays with her parents. Warner Hopkins was called home by the death of his uncle and spent a few days with relatives and friends. The Christmas Arch at Vaughn was a suooess in every particular. Lemuel Huston was the guest of friends at Surrey this week. School was suspended for one week and teacher and pupils eujoyed a good rest. Mrs. Frauk Blancett is spending a few davs at the home of her parents in Ill.’ Mrs. Leek and sou and daughter were called to Ottowa, their former home, to attend the funeral of Mrs. Leek’s mother last Monday. Victor Webb spent a short time here with friends last week.
