Rensselaer Semi-Weekly Republican, Volume 20, Number 32, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 23 December 1898 — Livery Stable Changes Hands. [ARTICLE]

Livery Stable Changes Hands.

The management of the brick livery stable has again changed hands. Ed Phegley has sold out his outfit and lease to Maurice Gorman and August Malchow, and they are now in charge and doing business under the firm name of Gorman & Malchow. Mr. Gorman is well known in Rensselaer, having for quite a number of years been a trusted employee of the big McCoy & Porter ranch, in Jordan Tp. Mr. Malchow comes from near Francesville. They are young men of evident grit and enterprise, and have evidently come to stay.
