Dora Cottingham lost a valuable family horse last week, Harold R. Stone, of Chicago, was 7 GJ 7 in town Sunday. The revival meetings at the Christian church closed last Thursday evening- / Isaac Kight spent several days with his family in Chicago last week. Dora Cottingham and Fred Fuller are spending a conple of weeks at Thayer hunting and trapping and are meeting with good success. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Piesker, who have been living here since early last fall, have moved to Janesville, Wis. Elias Brockus is canvassing for the book entitled “War with Spain.” Artie Odell has entirely recovered from his long spell of sickness with typhoid malarial fever.' Mr. and Mrs. Fry visited their son Jesse and family at Rose Lawn Monday, Isaac Kight shipped a car load of fine calves to Chicago Monday night. Bert Harmon, of Chicago Heights, is visiting his brother Grant and family for a week or two. Mrs. Grant Hawkins is making a weeks’ visit with Mrs. Isaac Kight and daughter, Mrs. Shehan in Chicago. Rev. Edward Miller, of Blackford, a dunkard preachar, preached to a large congregation in the Christian church last Sunday morning. He will preach once a month hereafter.
