The County Commissioners.
The various county officers made the reports required by law, as to the fees collected and turned over to the county treasurer during the three months ending Nov. 30th, as follows: W. H. Coover, county clerk, $575.92; N. J. Reed, sheriff, $001.70; H. B’ Murray, auditor, $104.20; R. B. Porter, recorder, $590,50. On petition of A. McCoy and others, showing that wolves continue to multiply and replenish tho earth, and at the same time devastating the same, in spite of the bounty of $7 on old wolves, the was raised to $lO- That on young wolves was left at $3. The increased bounty to apply to wolves killed after Dec. 15th. James A. Ramey was granted a regular allowance of $2 per week, for caring for Benjamin F. Ramey, an unfortunate who has fits and is unable to do anything for his own support. The Bert, Terry Stationery Co. of Lafayette, was given the contract for supplying blank books and stationery .for a year at $548, conditioned on their filing a contract and bond satiafactory to the commissioners. The other bids were Wm. B. Burford SI,OOO. The Brown Murphy Company $1,200. Wilson, Humphreys & Co. $560. The’ bid accepted is very low and if the stationery company will file satisfactory bond and contrect, it will be a very advantageous one for the county.
