Location of Gilford’s Towns.
A subscriber asks The Republican to state specifically where the new station now callod Comer, formerly Deadwood, on Gifford’s railroad, is located. It is about in the center of the southwest quarter of section 18, township 30, range 5, and on the Red Oak dredge ditch. The present south end of the line, so far as definitely located, is in the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of sec 29, tp 30, range 5, and on the Moody lateral. The town of Gifford is about on the center of the north line of the northeast quarter of 12-30-5. AU these points are in Barkley Tp. Smithfield is in the northeast corner of 34-31-6, in Walker Tp. ♦ *
