Somewhat Sarcastic Suggestions.

There is a movement on foot among some of the undertakers of the state, aud it is a practice in vogue in many places, to mention in connection with a funeral the names of those officiating. If this rule is followed all along the line the funeral notice of the future will read something like this, “The funeral of John Jones occurred today; he was attended during his illness by Dr. Black, who was greatly surprised that he lasted so long. Blodger's hearse drawn by a team of fine horses from Smith’s livery barn, who makes a specialty of fine rigs, try him; was driven by Hank Rodgers, who had sobered up for the occasion and who greases and cleans harness at $1 per set. Give him a call. The undertakers were Hart & Hart; many remarked on the beauty of the $35 coffin sold on monthly payments. Bill Spoon had done a good job of digging the grave for $5 and the remains of the decease* 1 were laid to rest with great pomp, while the widow sobbed audibly under a borrowed veil.”—Ex.
