161st Will Go To Cuba.

The 161st Indiana regiment, now stationed at Savannah, Ga., has at last reoeived the welcome news that it is to pass the winter in Cuba. The regiment is a part of Gen. Fitzhugh Lee’s division, and the division is ordered to sail for Havana on Tuesday, Dec. 6th. In company I, of this regiment, arc some 16 Jasper county boys namely: From Rensselaer, Wilbur Tharp, Walter C. Tharp, Wm. F. Hawkins, Perry Sorrel aud David Jakes. From Remington, Chas. Murphy, Walter A. Tharp, Henry G. Meyer, Frank X Gibscr. X -.nh Shide, George Bugbee, Harrison Young, Henry A. Shaull, Oliver H. Wood. From Wheatfield, Joseph E. Turner, Albert A Evans. Wallace D. Stivers, who died at Savannah some time ago. waR also a member of this company, from Rensselaer. The boys will no doubt have an interesting winter’s experience, but probably not at all a dangerous one.
