Kleetion passed off quietly. Tom Mallett did business in llose Lawn, Tuesday. Isaac Kight is spending a few days in Chicago with his family. Bruce Moffitt did business in Hammond Monday. Wm. Kight, of Hose Lawn, was in town Monday. Hev. Pierson will preach the Thanksgiving sermon in the Christ, ian church at 10 o’clock a. m. Thursday, Nov. 24th. John Carter will give an oyster supper and dunce at his residence in the Kessler block, Thanksgiving night, Isaac Kight is building another house on his farm southeast of town, it will be occupied by Sam Clifton. Jofin Kight und Win. Brockus are doing the carpenter work.
The Ladies’ Aid Society of the M. E. church will give a Musical j Entertainmeot and oyster supper at the school house, Saturday evening, Nov. 19th. Entertainment free.. Supper 25 cents. Come everybody and help the good cause. A. McCov and Walter Porter were in town Tuesday on business. M. Goodman, the Monon’s new Roadmaster, was in town Sunday and Msndav. Mr. Creviston, who moved here about a month ago has moved back to his old home at Peru. On account of Miss McGowan being sick there was no school in her room Tuesday. Mrs. Nancy Davisson and her neice, Miss Iva Alters will leave next Monday for Arkansas, to visit relatives. They will remain all winter.
