A School House Controversy.

A school controvesy from Barkley Tp., was settled in the circuit court Thursday. The Sandridge school house has grown very old and very shabby, and Trustee Nichols replaced it by a new building, a mile further north and put a teacher therein. This was held to be moving the school h ouee, and many of the patrons being dissatisfied, they brought action, and Thursday Judge Thompson issued a mandate compelling the trustee to put a teacher in the abandoned Sandridge building, and to continue school in the new building. It seems there is a new law about moving school houses, or replacing them by new buildings in another place. A petition must bo presented to the Co. Superintendent, signed by a majority of the patrons and by the township trustee, and notices posted. This new law the trustee overlooked.
