McCOYSBURG.
Since the second diptheria storm has passed over everything is on a forward movement. . The school has again resumed its duties and progressing nicely. McCoysburg school house is being prepared for a severe winter Jby getting a new coat of plaster, which it badly needed. Mr. and Mrs. Arnott will occupy the hous£ just vacated by the elder Mr. Arnott and family. On the account of sickness there was no meeting the past two weeks, There will be both C. E. and preaching next Sunday evening. Let everybody come. Halloween night was w T ell celebrated here by the little boys and a great deal of mischief done, though no apparent damage. Everybody come and hear A. McCoy and his singers Friday evening on the political situation. Word was received here today of the burning of the Osborne livery barn Monday evening. The lose will be quite heavy as no insurance was carried.
