Rensselaer Semi-Weekly Republican, Volume 20, Number 18, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 4 November 1898 — Turn Out and Vote. [ARTICLE]

Turn Out and Vote.

The great danger and the only danger, to the Republican ticket in this county will be in the possible failure of many Republicans to go to the polls. Many of them who live far away or whose private interests are pressing, maybe tempted to think that their party is sure to win anyhow, and will therefore not take the trouble to go to the polls. And if the weather is bad next Tuesday, the disposition to stay at home will be much stronger. Therefore every zealous and active Republican should not only go and vote himself, but should try to influence his less zealous or more confident Republican neighbor to do likewise. A full vote means a complete Republican victory in this eounty this year, and will put things in good shape for a similar result in 1900.
