BLACKFORD. John Schoer has had a new wind mill put Up. Arbor day will be observed at the schools next Friday. James Longstreth goes around with a smile on his face. Its another boy. It was a mistake as published last week about John Hurley returning from Ireland. It should have been Jim Hurley. Lelia, 4 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Marlatt, of near Blackford died Monday evening with scarlet fever. Interment Tuesday in the Smith cemetery. S. B. Jenkins of Rensselaer is visiting in this locality. Anderson Jenkins and wife and daughter, Mrs. Mary Yeoman, visited at DeMotte last week. Grant Davison’s hunting dog was killed by getting a dose of poison at Blackford one day last week. Miss Nora Myers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Myers, of De Motte, and Mr. Charles Reed of Barkley Tp., were married Sunday evening by Rev. Sherill at Aix. They have the well wishes of their many friends.
