Biggest Corn Story Yet.
Marion Ohio Chronicle. J. J. Williams, of Cleveland, has experimented on his farm west of Marion, this season, in raising corn. He has one field of deat corn, which is estimated by some to yield from 150 to 200 bushels per acre, and other varieties which will yield nearly as many bushels. Tbis is undoubtedly the largest yield of corn in Ohio. The J. J. Williams mentioned above, is a brother of J. W. Williams, of our city. We suspept that the people out in Ohio, in speaking of so many bushels of corn, mean so many bushel baskets of corn in the ear. But even at that way of figuring Mr. Williams would have the biggest yield of corn we have heard of this year.
