Friday’s Daily: ‘ , Eminent Pullins- a well known young man of Barkley township, was the defendant in the preliminary trial of a paternity case Thursday, before Squire Burnham. Flora Saidla, of Marion towdship, is the plaintiff. She claims that young Pullins became her steady young man in July 1897, coming to see her regularly every week, and finally promised to marry her. Pullins was bound over to answer the suit in the circuit court, in the sum of $(>00. Criminal proceedings for seduction were also begun against him, an«l in that case his bond is SSOO. Bail was furnished by his father and he is at large. The preliminary trial on the criminal charge is set for next Monday.
