Our Band Got Second.

The Rensselaer Citizens band did well at the band contest at Grant Park, 111., Thursday. In a contest with six good bands they wen? awarded the second prize, of SSO. The first prize went to the Chicago Heights band. Our boys, while they scored quite a triumph in getting second place, feel thfet they were not fairly treated by the judges, or they would have got the first prize. They also state that the other bands in the contest as well as the people generally, believed that Rensselaer should have had the first place- The threejudges were from Chicago, and they claim that they were prejudiced in favor of the Chicago Heights bancj seems borne out by the fact that two of the judges wore Chicago Heights badges. w '
