Two Ways of Looking at It.

Milbar—Hogins has a face that will make his fortune one of these days. At the restaurant the other day he handed the cashier a dollar bill. When he received his change he said very coolly: “That was a five I gave you.” And if you’ll believe it, the eashier handed him out four dollar bills. Stilson—But that was downright stealing. Milbar—Not at all. All that Hogins was after was to make the chappies standing around think he had as much as $5. Stilson —But he made $4 out of the eating-house by it.
