Three Lake County Men Drowned.
Valparaiso Vidette.—Additional particulars of the Johnson drowning at Millers yesterday, as exclusively told in yesterday’s Vidette, are received today from our regular correspondent. Capt. A P. Johnson resided in Portage township, near Lake Station. He was an elderly man. With his son Charles and a hired man, Capt. Johnson yesterday went out on the Lake in a small boat. A gust of wind resulted in the capsizing of the boat and all three men were drowned. Up to 5 o’clock last night, none of the bodies had been recovered, although the lake bad been dragged for several miles along the beach. The undercurrent was very strong. The boat was found several hundred yards from the spot.
