More About The Flora Robbery.
None of the Flora bank robbers had been captured at last accounts. The man arrested on suspicion, proved to be an eccentric and rather weak minded individual whose home is at Fort Wayne. He knew nothing about the robbery. Lenon, the bank owner proves not to have been dangerously injured by his shot gun wounds, but may lose the sight of one eye. The gun he was shot with was his own, which he kept in the bank and the robbers found and utilized against him. There were six men in the gang. Mr. Lenon offers SSOO reward for the arrest of the men and ten per cent, of all money recovered. The customarj’ “blood” hounds were called into requisition, with the customary results, which the Delphi Herald describes as follows: “The affair is another demonstration of the foolishness of putting faith in “blood” hounds. The dogs yesterday did a great deal more harm than good and if the story of one officer is true it was worse than rediculous. At a time when the officers -thought they were close to the bandits the hounds set up a howl that fairly’ made the hair oh their heads stand up. Suddenly a couple of rabbits jumped up and the excitement was over for the moment.”
