Recovering From The Lock-Jaw.
Mrs. Minnie Allman, of near the Stook Farm, who has been very dangerously sick with a well marked case of tetanus, or lockjaw, and had nearly recovered, had a relapse yesterday, and for a while was quite bad again, but is now improving, and is thought will soon be restored to full health. So far as known her sickness was caused by a bum on the hand causing a blister, and this was opened with a dirty pin. For five days, during the height of her attack her jaws were set so tight that nothing could pass through them, and she had convulsions every three hours. Tetanus is a very fatal disease, only bne case out of five recovering, on the average.
