A Piano Recital.

On Tuesday evening at the beautiful home of Mr. H. O. Harris at the head of Washington St, a few of our musical citizens were given a rare treat in the way of a musical concert by Prof. Carl Hemmersbach of St. Josephs’ College. Miss Harris is the possessor of a Steinway Salon Grand piano* and Prof. Hemmersbach, who is a graduate of Cologne and Veinnn and who has given concerts before the greatest critics of Europe found himself at home. Piano and pianist were a combination rarely met in cities of this size and one present stated that the execution, technique and interpretation were on a par with the best pianists who have played in this country. Certainly the Prof, has made rapid stride in the past two years and will no doubt become celebrated, as his rendition of Schumann, Beethoven, Liszt, Chopin and the classic from memory is simply astounding in one of his years-
