A Grand Reunion.
The friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. H. Grant, of west of town, celebrated their thirtyfifth wedding anniversary on Saturday Sept. 17th 1898. There were 137 present and everybody enjoyed themselves to their hearts content, Doctors Cole Grant and Frank Hemphill of Missouri, and Mrs. Amy Yeoman, of Kansas were present. By special arrangement Shigley’s Sheep Skin band was present, together with Messrs. John T. Sayler and Shelby Grant with their 1898 line of fun including Great-Go-Devil-Jack the donkey, which took a leading part in each act as can be seen in the various photoes taken on the ground by Joe Sharp and Jay Martindale. At noon a grand dinner was spread and (Marshal of the day) Frank Grant took special pains to see that all had plenty to eat.
