A Terrible Accident at Frankfort.
A most lamentable accident occurred on the Mouou, last Friday evening Traiu No. 250, which passes through here at 6:32 P. M. killed a woman and two children last evening just below Frankfort. The woman and children were in a buggy and attempted to cross the track in front of the train, but the engine struck the buggy squarely, and they were instantly killed, while the horse was not harmed in the least. The woman’s name was Mrs. John Barton. The children were a boy of five years and a girl of 18 months. The husband and father reached the spot soon after the accident. It is feared that he will lose his mind, cn account of his frantic grief. Among the passengers on the
train, and witnesses of the accident, were A. Leopold, and Ernest Lamson, of Rensselaer and Leander Hascall, of Mt. Ayr.
