A Badly Injured Foot.
This morning Joe Thprnton, who was pressing hay for Geo. Wilcox, at Surrey, while pushing down the hay with his foot, got it caught in the press, and very badly A bone was broken in the great toe joint, and another bone in the third toe, aud the bottom of the foot was burst open. Possibly also some bones of the foot are broken. He was brought to his home in the north part of town and Drs. Washburn and English treated him. The injury is a very bad one, and though the physicians hope to save the foot, it is not yet certain but that its amputation will be necessary.
