The 161st’s Assignment.
A telegram received at the Governor’s office Sunday from Jacksonville announced that the One-hundred-and-sixty-first Indiana, which had readied there safely, had been assigned to General Hubbard’s Third Division, and will be in the Third Brigade, which is commanded by General Douglass. There were no mishaps on the trip, and the men are all in good health. A tine camp site, with artesian water pipes through the grounds, has been reserved for the Indiana regiment. see X!. A.
